Just think,

if it weren't for marriage, men would go through life thinking they had no faults at all.

I remember very early in life, I learned about this, from seeing a plaque in the old lady who lived upstairs' kitchen. The wonderful and true old saying emblazoned on it:
"Womens faults are many; men have only two: everything they say and everything they do"
